Pusha T Releases “No Flex Zone” Freestyle

Every couple of months a song comes along that becomes so popular online nearly every headline-generating rapper makes time to add their spin to the track. For the first part of 2014, that song was almost assuredly “OG Bobby Johnson.” Now, thanks to Rae Sremmurd, the world has been inundated with “No Flex Zone” freestyles. We have skipped most of them, but the one that surfaced today was too good to ignore.

It has been a while since the world heard from Pusha T, but this morning the angsty half of Clipse delivered a new verse over “No Flex Zone” that reaffirms his position as one of the grittiest emcees in modern hip-hop. The only real complaint I have is that it’s only one verse, but that’s still better than nothing, and the content is far better than whatever most rappers would deliver. You can stream the freestyle, in full, below:

Pusha T started the year by discussing the possibility of getting another solo album out in a year’s time, but he’s been so quiet as of late it’s hard to tell what he has planned in the immediate future. We’ll bring you updates as soon as additional information becomes available.

If you’re asking yourself about the origin of “No Flex Zone,” you may want to watch the video below. WARNING: The hook will get stuck in your head.
