Fast-rising pop rock band 5 Seconds Of Summer have spent the past several weeks touring North America as the opening act on the latest leg of One Direction‘s world tour. In that time, the Australian based band have made their first appearance in many US cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and – most recently – Detroit.

Over the weekend, 5 Seconds Of Summer were performing in the Motor City when they decided to make a last minute change to their set list and debut a live rendition of Eminem‘s classic 8 Mile song, “Lose Yourself.” The performance lasts about a minute, featuring one verse in its entirety, but it was enough to make the sold out stadium go completely mental. You can watch a fan-shot clip of their performance below:

5 Seconds Of Summer will not be returning to the US until their 2015 headline tour kicks off sometime next year. If you want to claim your tickets now, click here and find out when the boys behind “She Looks So Perfect” will be in your town.
