It’s hard to explain how Dads rose from underground sensations to being a band on the verge of taking the nation by storm, but at some point in the last year or so something changed. Their music has stayed the same, as has their thrilling live show, but the way people react to their creativity has been amplified in a big way. As longtime fans, this brings us a great deal of joy.

Today, the members of Dads partnered with our friends at AltPress to share a new song titled “Fake Knees.” The song is the latest to surface from the group’s upcoming album, I’ll Be the Tornado, and if I am not mistaken there is an ever-so-slight hint of country influence to the entire affair. That’s not to say the rock and indie influences have disappeared. In fact, they’re as apparent as ever, but it’s also clear the evolution of Dads is far from complete. I’ll Be The Tornado is set for release October 14 via 6131 Records. Dads will be touring this fall to support the release. Here is a complete list of their current touring plans:
