The Smith Street Band Stream “Surrender”

Australian folk-punk heroes The Smith Street Band are streaming a new track titled “Surrender” via Noisey. “Surrender” is the first single to be lifted off of their highly anticipated third full-length, Throw Me In The River, which will be released in the USA via SideOneDummy Records on October 28.

“Surrender” is an absolute corker of a track which features the witty lyricism, unbridled passion and raw instrumentation the band is infamous for, delivered in the most assured and accomplished manner yet. Gritty, challenging and yet oddly cathartic at the same time, “Surrender” serves as the ideal introduction to the sonic progression we can expect on Throw Me In The River.

The Smith Street Band will be appearing at both the Pre-Fest in Tampa, FL on October 30 at the Crow Bar and at the iconic The Fest in Gainesville, FL between 0ctober 31 – November 2, before heading back down under to embark on a full national tour with The Front Bottoms and Apologies, I Have None in tow.
