Jovial Canadian rockers Fucked Up have released a video for “The Art of Patrons,” one of the radder and more crowd participation-friendly tracks off their recent album Glass Boys.
The video initially looks to be of the tour footage music video ilk – though with a much better camera than the norm – but it quickly turns into the story of hug-happy frontman Damian Abraham coming home to his wife and adorable children. This is unsurprising, as the two strongest memories I have of Abraham are of him giving every attendee a hug after a recent Ferndale, MI, show and joining the Yo Gabba Gabba crew on stage.
The video was debuted by Noisey and funded in part by MuchFACT, which could be part of the reason the video looks so damn good. Vice editor Andy Capper and Fucked Up member Mike Haliechuk produced and directed the film while the band was on tour in Brazil.
