Sunny beats. Beachy vocals. Surf pop. I’m not entirely sure if any of those things are actually things but in the case of Generationals, I’m just going with it.
As the followup to last year’s Heza, the New Orleans duo’s newest, Alix, is everything you love about summer all wrapped up into one 10-track, smile-pop release. It goes down smooth with a summer ale. It makes you look pretty good when you dance to it. It matches the bright colors of your ridiculous, ’90s-style neon hat and matching shorts. It’s rad. Totally.
The album drops on September 16 via Polyvinyl Records but the full stream premiered over at Noisey this week and we highly suggest you listen to it several times. You can do just that at the end of this post. Pick up a copy through Polyvinyl, too!
