‘Black Sea’ Trailer: Jude Law Is Searching For Hitler’s Gold

Submarine based thrillers have been largely hit and miss in recent years. It takes a certain skill to make men stuck in a tiny metal tube as thrilling as it sounds on paper, and all too often the men who serve as director on these projects do not have the talent to pull it off. Kevin Macdonald may be the exception however, and his latest underwater adventure actually looks quite compelling.

Jude Law needs a hit, and in Black Sea he also needs money. After years spent making a living at sea, sacrificing everything he had in the process, his character finds himself with no work and no one to turn to for help. That is, until he enters into a plan with several other men to find and retrieve a large sum of a gold from one of Hitler’s long sunken submarines. It’s a treasure so large that everyone involved will be rewarded with more than enough to live off of should the wrecked vessel be found, but as with any story involving desperate people and money things soon begin to go awry.
