A week after the release of his debut solo album, Gerard Way has shared the official music video for “Millions.”

Featuring a slew of editing tricks that bring to mind the height of 1980s music videos, “Millions” brings a sense of nostalgia along with its British rock inspired sound. The video is largely a performance piece, with edits making it more than it appears to be on paper, but ultimately its the song that stands out as the true highlight of the affair. I think Gerard Way is onto something with this sound, but it’s going to take some time before music listeners associate him with anything other than My Chemical Romance. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on the video.
