UTG PREMIERE: Helen Earth Band – “Castaway”

Helen Earth Band could have been a band’s band. You know the type – musically-proficient with off-kilter tunes, primed for validation via other musicians while casual listeners missed the point. But We Fucking Quit, their second full-length, resonates wider than that. Helen Earth Band’s Braidtastic brand packs the punch that’ll win over general audiences while keeping musicians wide-eyed in amazement. It’s mathy, it’s catchy, and it’s just damn good.

We’re thrilled to premiere “Castaway” from their upcoming LP, due October 21 from Youth Conspiracy Records. Once you swallow that goodness, grab a digital pre-order (vinyl’s scheduled for 2015). The band’s currently on the road with Finch, Maps & Atlases, and Wounds – dates can be found below.
