The First ‘Jurassic World’ Trailer Is Here!

The wait is over, friends. After multiple stories spread claiming a Friday release, Universal has surprised movie fans worldwide by sharing the first official trailer for Jurassic World.

Starring Chris Pratt, Jurassic World picks up a number of years after the events of the original Jurassic Park trilogy. A new park has been built, and by the time we arrive it is already open to the public. People ride alongside the dinosaurs in futuristic vehicles, while others stroll the park’s boardwalk in hopes of finding the right piece of merchandise to purchase for loved ones back home. It’s all big, beautiful, and great, or at least that is how it seems on the surface. Behind closed doors, however, the people behind the park are messing with genetics in hopes of creating a new breed of dinosaur. A modern dinosaur, if you will. Check it out:

The CGI looks a little sketchy in this footage, but to be fair the studio still has seven months to make sure everything is perfect. These shots may not be final, but they certainly do more than enough to pique our interest in returning to the world of Jurassic Park. Do you agree? Comment below and let us know your thoughts.

Jurassic World opens June 12, 2015.
