Australian indie band Tame Impala haven’t released fresh studio material since their critically acclaimed 2012 album Lonerism. After a few collaborations and live EPs, the band is long overdue, but finally the silence has been broken today.
Spinning Top Music, who does publicity for the band, sent out an email stating that a new album will be released this year from Tame Impala, along with other artists they represent. The news comes after frontman Kevin Parker has been in frequent studio sessions with renowned producer Mark Ronson, so time can only tell if any of that material arrives on the new album.
