UTG PREMIERE: Actor Observer – “Steel Yourself” (Video)

Today is a good day, my friends. After years of being one of our favorite bands to promote, Actor Observer have joined forces with UTG to share the exclusive world premiere of their new video.

Oh, you don’t know Actor Observer? That’s not exactly okay, as they are without a doubt one of the most promising young bands to exist in the last decade, but for the sake of moving things along we will go ahead and give you a pass (this time). The band is currently preparing to release their new album, The Longer Now, on March 10. Jay Maas of Defeater produced the record, which includes the song chosen as the band’s latest single. You can stream that track, titled “Steel Yourself,” and view its official video below.

“Steel Yourself” was created by Paul Orr, Mike Messina, and Louis Watt. If you like what you hear, please take a moment to pre-order The Longer Now on Bandcamp.

Actor Observer have several shows on the horizon, including a short tour with Trespassers (NY) from March 6-11. Here are details for their next two performances:

2/7/15 – DV8 in Providence, RI w/ Too-Tall Grizzly and Pinnacle
3/5/15 – Record Release Show at TT the Bear’s in Cambridge, MA w/ The Venetia Fair, Aminals, & Que Sera

This may be your last chance to hop on the Actor Observer bandwagon before they’re international favorites. Take the time to familiarize yourself with their work now and definitely do everything in your power to support The Longer Now when it arrives on March 10.

I am or was guilty of being one of the “Oh, you don’t know Actor Observer?” people. Thankfully, that is no longer the case. Now I’m kicking myself in the backside that I missed the opportunity to see them live @VansWarpedTour 2014.

To soothe the self inflicted boot-to-bum I’ll pass the time waiting for the release of #TheLongerNow by checking out the earlier works of @ActorObserver
