Kendrick Lamar Returns To Glory With “The Blacker The Berry”

A day after adding two Grammy awards to his growing collection of accolades, Compton native Kendrick Lamar has shared a new single titled “The Blacker The Berry.”

Going in hard over production from the iconic Boi-1da, Kendrick Lamar uses “The Blacker The Berry” to remind everyone why the good kid from mAAd city has been reigning over hip-hop for the last few years. In a time when everyone seems too afraid or self-obsessed to address the serious issues we as a society are dealing with today, it’s Kendrick who goes straight for the jugular. His flow and raw aggression is as tight as ever, and each verse is penned with retaliation in mind. He’s never been one to hold his tongue, and it’s that kind of open dialogue that music so desperately needs right. Check it out:

Still no word on when Kendrick’s new album will drop, but the release of “The Blacker The Berry” leads us to believe that day will be here soon. Stay tuned.
