Ryan Reynolds Confirms ‘Deadpool’ Will Be Rated ‘R’

It may be April Fools’ Day, but this post is no joke. After months of rumors and debate, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has confirmed the upcoming comic book adaptation of Marvel’s most ridiculous character will be rated ‘R’.

Yes, the so-called ‘merc with the mouth’ will soon be able to say whatever he wants on the big screen as it seems the studio has given filmmakers the go ahead to make Deadpool‘s first film one fitting of his outrageous legacy. The news was confirmed through a special video message released earlier today. You can view the clip, which features an interview between Reynolds and former Saved By The Bell star Mario Lopez, at the end of this post.

Deadpool is slated for release in February of 2016. Given the fact we’ve already seen Reynolds in costume, I would say it’s safe to assume we will see more video, photos, and gags popping up online as we move closer and closer to the film’s release. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
