Earl Sweatshirt Unveils ‘Solace,’ Dedicated To His Mother

A little over a month ago, Odd Future recording artist Earl Sweatshirt unveiled a new album, called I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside; the direct follow-up to his widely-acclaimed debut record, Doris, from 2013. The new record peaked at #12 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart and #4 on the hip-hop chart, rising one spot above and landing two spots below, respectively, from Doris‘ chart positions.

Today the young rapper has just released a ten-minute audio clip of a new project, entitled Solace. In the new project, Earl talks fervently about his issues like his drug use and insomnia. More importantly, Earl has dedicated the entire thing to his loving mother, Cheryl Harris.

The mini compilation of tracks is described by Earl as “music from when I hit the bottom and found something.” You can check it out below. Let us know what you think.
