Game & Dej Loaf Become The Best Duo Of 2015 With “Ryda”

West Coast edge meets Midwest born flows on the latest collaborative track from The Game and Dej Loaf.

There have been a lot of collaborative singles, albums, and mixtapes throughout the history of hip-hop, but more often than not those joint efforts fail to live up to the hype or quality of the projects released by the individuals that make up this new ‘super duo.’ Surprisingly, that is not the case with “Ryda,” the latest single from Game and Dej Loaf. These two go together like crunchy peanut butter and homemade jelly, and the song they’ve created is equally satisfying. You can enjoy the track below.

“Ryda” premiered online with its official video, which features Game and Dej Loaf adding a West Coast twist to the beloved tail of the troubled Bonnie and Clyde. It’s slick and fun without resorting to showcasing flashy jewels or big budget set pieces, so as far as rap videos go it’s quite a bit above average. Shoutout to director Benny Boom for the quality work.

If you’re reading this article and/or watching the video for “Ryda” with hopes for more from this duo I would advise you not hold your breath. “Ryda” was created for Game’s upcoming Documentary 2 record, and as far as I can tell it’s the only track these two made during their time together. That said, you can still download Dej Loaf’s Sell $ole mixtape, for free. If you have yet to experience that record in full you better do so soon before you wake up and realize you’ve been wasting your life on shitty music.
