New Music: Goldlink – “Dance On Me”

The world has been waking up to the unique sound of Goldlink for the better part of the last year, and earlier today the D.C. native treated us with yet another exciting new track.

“Dance On Me,” which found its way online Monday afternoon, finds Goldlink offering his signature quick-spit sound over soulful production from Milo Mills and Hasta. It’s not the kind of a club banger that would have found its way onto his 2014 mixtape, The God Complex, but it’s also nothing you wouldn’t expect. It’s simply another side of Goldlink’s dynamic personality, and it should fit in well with the setlist on his current US headlining tour. You can stream the track below.

I was admittedly late to the Goldlink bandwagon. Someone told me to catch his set at SXSW about five minutes too late to make it in time to catch his entire performance. That said, what I saw was amazing, and as soon as I returned to my hotel I made it a point to download The God Complex using our incredibly mediocre wireless connection. The zip took over an hour to make mine, but it was well worth the wait. If you enjoy the material below, click here to add The God Complex to your personal music collection.
