New Jersey alt-rock band Gin War will release a new EP called Piece Of Moon on November 18. The band is streaming a teaser single titled “Still Mine” over at Highlight Magazine, which you can also check out below.
“’Piece of Moon’ is an extension of our first EP, telling more of the same story with a tragic twist,” says Gin War guitarist Kyle Carrier. “We grew, but only closer to some parts of life that we’d been dreading as the inevitable. It’s louder, quieter, sadder, happier, sharper, bolder – we delved deeper into the narratives we only touched upon on the previous release. Influences range from Weezer, Lemuria and Cheap Girls, to disease, loss, drugs, communication overload, and the island where we live.”
Piece Of Moon is the follow-up to the band’s previous EP release, Half Of A Good Plan, released in 2014. The band has become renowned within the New Jersey local scene for their fantastic live performance, and if “Still Mine” is any indication of what the rest of the EP sounds like, the massively improved production value should provide for a memorable release.
