Succumb to Still Parade’s dream-funk sounds on new single, “07:41”

The Niklas Kramer-led solo project Still Parade—projecting his creations from Berlin—has a funky new single online, and if it doesn’t make you dance, you must not be listening. “07:41” brings to mind some sort of amalgam made up of elements provided by Neon Indian, Hot Chip, Toro Y Moi and like-minded, dreamy, folky, funky pop-and-otherwise talents. It’s a damn fine jam and you can experience it below, as you should, via Stereogum.

Touching on the idea behind the song, Kramer explains, “’07:41′ is about this weird feeling when you’re new somewhere. You feel like a stranger and no one really seems to care about you. But there’s also the chance to build up something new. It’s the point when you just don’t know what’s going to happen. Can be quite scary and exciting at the same time.”

The track is being pressed to a lathe-cut 7-inch from Art Is Hard Records for their 2015 Singles Club. You can pick up a copy of your own right here. Only 25 copies (!) are available, so act fast.
