UTG PREMIERE: Reckless Serenade – “Fool’s Gold”

Reckless Serenade

New York rock five-piece Reckless Serenade have partnered with UTG today to share “Fool’s Gold” from their upcoming EP, Strange Soul. Fans of bands like The Spill Canvas and The Audition should find themselves continuously hitting replay on the new single as they await the band’s EP arriving next month.

Talking to UTG about the themes within the new song, RS vocalist Cory Brent explains, “‘Fool’s Gold’ is a song that deals with self awareness. You look around these days and all you see is this strange perceived perfection—models, pop stars, these picture perfect lifestyles. It’s nearly impossible to not feel self-conscious as soon as you step out the door in the morning. This song is really about coming to terms with it all, realizing how fake and unrealistic these 2016 expectations can be and, above all, learning to love and trust yourself.”

Furthermore, Reckless Serenade with be performing on this entire Summer’s run of the Vans Warped Tour. Speaking about the opportunity, Brent says, “We’re incredibly stoked to be a part of this year’s Vans Warped Tour! We’ve literally all dreamed of playing Warped since we’ve started going to shows. As the barbecue band we have the opportunity to meet and play with bands that we grew up listening to. So I don’t think we can stress enough how excited and thankful we are for the chance that we were given.”
