To help spread the word about their final show before indefinite hiatus, UTG has teamed up with grindcore legends, SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY, to bring you daily reminders and share some of the world of SYNT with you. Today we’re sharing our favorite tracks from the group’s last release, Intervals.
James’ Pick – “Goodnight [Our Last Dance]
[audio: 11 Goodnight (Our Last Dance).mp3]
I picked this track because I think it’s the group’s best effort at pairing actual storytelling with their chaotic sound. Generally, there is some lack in the storytelling in order to pair up with the music, but the power of the grind makes up for it. In this case, Fox really shines lyrically [albeit most likely a bit emo for a lot of grindcore kids].
Justin’s Pick – “January and On”

I an easily the biggest See You Next Tuesday fan on the staff and I can say beyond a doubt, this is the best song this band has ever written. Musically, lyrically, and even atmospherically, it’s perfect.
