Some more bad news for Lil’ Wayne

Strange times for Lil Wayne. He will probably start a year-long prison sentence in February after pleading guilty to attempted gun possession. His head was made into a cake for Alec Baldwin’s daughter.

And now the rapper– along with partner Birdman and his label, Cash Money– is being sued by a dude named Thomas Marasciullo, Billboard reports. Marasciullo claims he was never paid for providing generic mafioso interlude dialogue on albums including Birdman’s 5 Star Stunna and Like Father, Like Son.

Here’s an example of Marasciullo’s work from a skit off 5 Star Stunna: “If you got a bad apple get rid of it now ’cause all it’s gonna do is make rotten tomatoes and rotten apples out of the rest of the bunch.”

But it’s not all bad news for Wayne. He just released the official version of his No Ceilings mixtape (featuring four songs not included in last week’s leak). According to an extremely entertaining Halloween Ustream broadcast, Wayne “uploaded [the mixtape] my damn self.” In that video, he also said that his new rock-oriented album Rebirth will be packaged with his clique’s upcoming We Are Young Money LP for a December 15 release.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Wayne said he “plays guitar on 80 percent of the songs” on Rebirth. Talking about the left-turn record, he also had this choice nugget: “Don’t think you’re going to put on the album and hear me screaming and singing … Don’t worry about that. [laughs] When people hear me say ‘rock,’ they may get a little scared like, ‘Oh, God. What is he going to do?'”

According to the Billboard piece, Wayne’s next (next) album, Tha Carter IV, is due for release sometime next year.
