CLOSE YOUR EYES release debut album!

Victory Records recording group CLOSE YOUR EYES has released details on their debut album, We Will Overcome, due out on February 16, 2010.

The newest member to the Victory Records family, CLOSE YOUR EYES, is patiently waiting for February 16, 2010 to arrive when their debut album, We Will Overcome, finally hits shelves. “It speaks a story of our struggles, trials, and the things we need and love,” says guitarist Brett Callaway. “We don’t limit ourselves or work with any restrictions. We write what we feel.”

We Will Overcome shapes a chapter in the lives of this quintet. The release of We Will Overcome will be preceded by the first single, “Song for the Broken,” which will hit college radio on February 23rd and active and alternative outlets soon after. A video shot in the band’s hometown of Abilene, Texas for the single, will be released in accordance with the album on February 16, 2010.

We Will Overcome is available for pre-order HERE at the Victory Records Webstore. A limited edition package is also available here and for $18, this includes the new release in CD format, as well as a t-shirt.

ABOUT THE BAND: Hailing form Abilene, Texas, CLOSE YOUR EYES formed in 2005, but it wasn’t until 2008 when they were granted national recognition, and after sweeping 250 newcomers in the Cornerstone “New Band Showcase”. Shortly after CLOSE YOUR EYES was selected as one of HM Magazine’s “Pick of the Litter” artists, they rocked the HM Magazine Showcase at Cornerstone in 2009. Now, named one of the “Top 100 Bands You Need to Know in 2010” by Alternative Press Magazine, CLOSE YOUR EYES is sure to continue an already stirring buzz in anticipation of their latest release, We Will Overcome.
