STREAM: Samuel L. Jackson narrates “Go The F*ck To Sleep”

If you want make money in writing, children’s literature is definitely the way to go. Whether your main character is a person, animal, or mythical being, kids will devour generally any story you can somehow connect to one of Aesop’s fables or any other universal tale of morality in virtue.

But what about the parents? Sure, they should love their kids and read to them because they truly want to, but what is in it for them? Do you really think grown adults prefer to spend their evening buried in tales of castles, cats, and Clifford The Big Red Dog? No, most likely not.

Enter Author (and savior to parents) Adam Mansbach. His latest children’s story, Go The Fuck To Sleep, has become one of the biggest online sensations. So much so, that his work has actually TOPPED the Amazon book chart!

Obviously a title like Go The Fuck To Sleep isn’t for everybody, but it is a damn good selling point. Parents need to relax as well and Mansbach let’s that happen while entertaining small children in the process (not that we suggest reading this book to kids, we don’t).

Sometimes though, reading is just too much to ask. Especially in times like this, when everyone has a screen attached to everything, books are simply pushed to the side. Luckily, the written word still has a trusted friend in the spoken word and audiobooks are huge hit. To sweeten Go The Fuck To Sleep, Mansbach recruited none other than Snakes On A Plane actor Samuel L. Jackson for narration duties and the results couldn’t be more entertaining.

Rumor has it, a film will be coming based on this book. We have no idea how such a story could become a film, but if Sam Jackson is in it, we will be there.
