According to tabloid reports today (August 18), Kanye West has recorded a new version of “Back To Black” in tribute to Amy Winehouse.
The Daily Mirror reports that Kanye, who just released Watch The Throne, his collaboration album with Jay-Z, will debut the track in London next month.
A source informed the paper that the rapper put his own spin on the title track of Winehouse’s extremely successful second album and that he has also added synthesizers.
The source said:
It’s pretty emotive. It’s Kanye singing from the heart – with synthesizers.
Kanye is set to embark on a joint US tour with Jay-Z to promote Watch The Throne in the late autumn and is also continuing to work on his sixth studio album.
