The first Ghost Rider sucked. Say what you will, but I actually discussed this with the movie Gods and they ranked it somewhere above Elektra and just below Daredevil. It wasn’t Nicolas Cage’s fault either, he did his average and collected his check, but what he had to work with needed some work itself. No amount of cool effects and sick motorcycle jumps can save whatever the hell you call the last 45 minutes of the movie.

Given everything you just read, you’re probably expecting a lengthy rant about the film’s upcoming sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance. While I will admit I am nowhere near excited about this film as, say, The Dark Knight Rises, I still have hope for the franchise, especially considering the minds behind Crank took over writing and directing.

Today the film’s first official poster hit the interweb and while it doesn’t show too much, I’ll admit I got a little tingly at the site of those flaming chains. Click below and see for yourself!
