HOLY SH!T: Ghosts Are Real In The First Trailer For “The Apparition”

Note to anyone hoping to research ghosts as a profession: Stop. It never ends well.

In The Apparition, A group of young researchers have develop a theory that apparitions, AKA ghosts, can be forged into existence if enough people focus their belief on said apparitions being real. Think “if you build it, they will come,” only with the idea that those desiring to find ghosts will eventually discover them. But what happens AFTER you prove the existence of the unknown? Official plot: “When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural (Tom Felton), but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force…”

The Apparition arrives in theaters August 31.
