Ben Affleck Confirms He Is NOT Working on “Justice League” Film

Just over a week after rumors began circling that he was potentially directing his first superhero film, Ben Affleck has shot down rumors that he will be working on the upcoming Justice League film.

Speaking with 24Hours, Affleck commented:

“I’m not working on the Justice League. One of the problems with entertainment web sites is that they need to fill pages, and that’s how rumours get started.”

He later continued:

“Justice League sounds really exciting, but it’s not something I’m working on.”

While UTG may not see eye to eye with Affleck’s thoughts on the why the rumor began, I think his absence from the Director’s chair will be a benefit for everyone on this particular project. Affleck has developed his own style with filmmaking and I’m not sure it would be well-suited for the world of spandex-clad heroes.

Affleck’s latest potential masterpiece, Argo, opens this October. You can view the trailer after the jump.
