The Strokes haven’t released an album since 2011’s Angles. They have talked about working on the next effort before, but this still caught me very off guard. The Strokes will have a new album out in 2013, with a new song, “All The Time”, sent to a radio station and set to leak “soon“. Guitarist Albert Hammond, Jr.’s father said last summer the band were in the studio, but it’s still so rare in this day and age for a band to have news like this without several leaks of the mixing or mastering stages. Props to everyone from their camp for the tight lips.

We’ll be sure to post the leak whenever it goes live. Overall, we’re just blown away and pumped for new music. The Strokes give us more reason to love 2013.
