Well, maybe we won’t have to travel south. The announcement earlier this week of a Neutral Milk Hotel reunion had a small indication there would be more dates, saying there was “more to come,” but it was hard to say for sure, as the announcement also included the quote “…and of water course womb rume is a wandering the welkin woman…” Point being, it’s hard to decipher old Elephant 6 messages.

Pollstar, the standard for music industry touring data, got a quote out of NMH’s long time booking agent Jim Romeo of Ground Control Touring, who said “Everyone is very excited which is great.  People should know that they shouldn’t get discouraged if they don’t get tickets to these few shows, there will be some more fall shows announced soon and a much longer and fuller tour planned for 2014 that will span the globe.” We can thus presume there may not be more dates left in 2013… but 2014! Indie fans rejoice for 2014!

Now if you’ll excuse us, we have to go annoy our local promoters about bringing the In The Aeroplane Over The Sea and On Avery Island rockers to our towns.
