Seeing Brand New live has become the musical equivalent to finding a golden ticket in your Wonka bar. It is anyone’s guess when or where they will play next, and it’s rare any announcement outside of major festivals happens more than a few weeks in advance. Lucky for fans in the midwest, this is not the case today.
Starting at noon today, UTG has learned that Brand New will be announcing a handful of shows around their scheduled September appearance at Riot Fest in Chicago. PropertyOfZack already located one gig in upstate New York, and we can tell you exclusively right now Michigan will have a show as well. Keep an eye on Brand New’s Facebook for the full announcement whenever the band chooses to roll it out.
Every show announcement from Brand New comes with rumors of new music. At the time we have no information that leads us to believe a new album is on the way, but that by no means is a confirmation no such efforts have taken place. UTG is continuing to look into this story and will bring you more updates as details begin to surface.
UPDATE: Dates for the full run have been announced. They are as follows:
- 2015’s Most Underrated Films - December 29, 2015
- Passing The Torch: The End Of An Era For UTG - December 1, 2015
- UTG PREMIERE: Before The Streetlights – “Private Browser” - November 26, 2015
