Full-Length Trailer For ‘The Wolverine’ Offers Plenty Of Plot

Is it just me, or is it starting to feel like Man Of Steel and The Wolverine are never going to come out? Their marketing campaigns have lasted months, offered minutes of footage and dozens of images, yet we still have weeks (or more) to go before release. Don’t get me wrong, I love geeking out over comic movies as much as the next person, but cut the tease and get to the meat already.

This morning, a new trailer for The Wolverine found its way online. Unlike previous trailers, this one feels less spoiler-tastic due to its focus on story over sizzle, and in the big picture it’s probably the strongest preview for the film to date. We don’t need to be sold on Wolverine being a badass, we already know that. What we do need, however, is proof the film is going to offer more entertainment value than X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and that is what this trailer accomplishes (in my opinion, anyways). You can view the trailer below.

The Wolverine opens in theaters nationwide on July 26.

Synopsis: Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world, he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality.
