To celebrate the release of their new album, The Maine have released a music video for their single “These Four Words.”
Wrought with heartache to begin with, “These Four Words” should probably come with a warning informing viewers they will likely burst into introspective tears about past relationships gone away and the crushing feeling of knowing there is nothing left you can do. The video further emphasizes these points with a black and white story of lovers who have lost their spark. There is no real real good guy / bad guy situation, just two broken people who thought their passion could stand the test of time. We find them on a morning when it has become alarmingly clear the end is near, and what follows is a beautifully captured look at one of the hardest interactions two people who love each other can possibly share.
