If you had told me a new Drake song was going to find its way online last night I probably would have skipped Monsters University to post this exact article. We all know his new album will be one of the most discussed of the year, and his latest efforts are only going to further the already deafening hype.
Featuring an appearance from singer James Fauntleroy, “On My Way” is the kind of smooth track you would expect to find buried in Drake’s early releases. He’s been increasingly focused on hip hop in recent years, but this song offers a overtly sexual reminder that he can indeed sing with the best of them. It’s a soft track featuring a beat composed mainly of bass, snare, and synth, which both artists use to croon and swoon over the ladies in their lives. You can stream “On My Way” at the end of this post.
It’s unclear at this time whether or not “On My Way” will appear on Drake’s upcoming album, but we certainly would not mind if it did. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on Drake’s latest.
