Rich Homie Quan Releases “Party” Video

Rich Homie Quan has been rubbing shoulders with fellow newcomers like Young Thug and YG in the battle to be hip-hop’s next superstar freshman since mid-2013. Today, Quan is leaving the lyricism battle behind and embracing the world of good-time anthems with the official video for “Party.”

Featuring plenty of lens flares, half-naked women, and performance shots that feature some of the most apathetic lip syncing in recent memory, “Party” is by and large a stereotypical hip-hop music video. Quan appears in various settings, usually surrounded by the aforementioned women, and recites lines about how the life he’s living is superior to whatever reality you call home. You can view the video below.

Quan had a lot of hype behind him throughout last year, but 2014 has seen the up-and-comer struggle to remain as relevant as fellow genre freshmen. I’m not sure “Party” is enough to make matters that much better, but it’s certainly fun to look at.

No word yet on what Quan will do next, but it probably won’t be long before he hops on another track. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
