Watch Lana Del Rey’s New Video For “West Coast”

Yesterday, we were halfway through writing up a piece on Lana Del Rey‘s newest visual offering before the video was removed from the internet and postponed until today. We don’t know the reason as to why, but we’re not complaining, because it’s here.

“West Coast,” produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, serves as the lead single from Del Rey’s forthcoming album, Ultraviolence. Like most of Del Rey’s catalog, “West Coast” is lush and smooth and dramatic but this time around offers some mellow classic rock vibes a la Stevie Nicks–likely thanks to Auerbach’s influence. The black and white video accompaniment (briefly teased with the initial release of the single) features Lana and friends strolling along an assumed California beach and driving around with some light partying taking place. You can view the clip after the break.

Haters gonna hate, but this is one of my favorite Lana tracks to date and I for one am anxiously awaiting Ultraviolence. Give us a release date and some pre-orders, Lana!
