Keeping headline writers busy on the day her new album drops, Lana Del Rey has released the official video for “Shades Of Cool.”
Featuring performance sequences, floral overlays, and a sleek classic car moving fast under city lights, “Shades Of Cool” hits every stereotypical point on the Lana Del Rey music video check list. It’s both cinematic and lost in its own, but no matter how bad you may feel a desire to click away at one point or another the beauty of the song (not to mention the woman delivering it) keeps you hooked. You can view the video below:
This marks the third time Lana Del Rey has appeared on our front page today. That is not a complaint or any way meant to pan the efforts of our beloved pop queen, but it does speak to just how hard her marketing team is working to promote the release of Ultraviolence. You can read our review of the record, which ran earlier today, here.
Ultraviolence is available now.
