UTG TV: Warped 2014 With Yellowcard

“I hope that somewhere, whoever is sitting in an office, looking at the internet and counting his money, that he decides that this is a good year for a new Yellowcard record.”

It’s hard to believe that Yellowcard released their classic record Ocean Avenue a decade ago. I’ll spare you the redundant “list-blog” type of writing that is meant to make you feel old or explain to you what you already know. Yes, we were introduced to the violin-wielding pop-rockers quite some time ago.

When the Vans Warped Tour hit Jones Beach in Wantagh, NY, we sat down with that very violin player, Sean Mackin, to discuss the return of Yellowcard.

We talk about the process of re-recording their timeless record to put out Ocean Avenue Acoustic and their best Warped experience of the summer. It may be open to interpretation, but it seems as though Yellowcard have submitted their new tunes to Razor and Tie Records, and are simply waiting on a decision as to when it will see the light of day, although it was announced to be slated for 2014.
