Honour Crest Are Breaking Up

Shortly after their show this evening in Virginia Beach, Virginia Honour Crest‘s frontman posted an ominous Facebook status that said “That was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to say.” After some probing by friends and fans he confirmed that Honour Crest would be disbanding. Though initially the band’s Facebook page remained silent at first it looks as though the group have officially announced they are splitting up. You can read what they had to say below the break.

There is no indication as to why they decided to part ways, but they did promise one last show for fans next month. I’m going to guess it won’t be in Seattle, but nonetheless it will be a great opportunity for some fans to get to see them again.

On January 15, 2009, we met and soon after preformed our first show with just Lucas, Chad, and a laptop. Since then, the adventures and people we’ve met changed our lives forever. Without all of you we couldn’t have achieved any of our dreams as a band, a family of brothers. Just over five years later though, like all great things, our journey is coming to an end.
It wasn’t an easy decision by any means, and there is absolutely no bad blood between any of us. If anything we’re close than ever and we can’t wait to go out with a bang at our last show coming up in September. Look out for any announcements about that.
