Say Anything are having a pretty rad day. Not only did their new video for “Six Six Six” premiere over on Spin, but Max Bemix announced on Twitter today that Chris Conley will be joining the ranks of Say Anything for the Australian leg of their upcoming tour. The singer, guitarist, and Saves The Day frontman recently wrapped up a massive UK and Europe tour for his band’s 2013 self-titled album. Touring with Say Anything seems like a great way to spend some newly found free time.
No one is more excited about it than Max Bemis. On Twitter, after heralding the initial announcement with a picture of Chris Conley hiding in a bunch of flowers, he said “A decent comparison for this would be Johnny Marr filling in for Brand New on a tour.” You can read the tweet for yourself below the break.
The Australian tour, for their upcoming album Hebrews, was announced mid-July. They’ll be hitting all the major Aussie cities over a week in October. This is one of those times I wish I lived in Australia, and so do a lot of his Twitter followers. A full list of the band’s upcoming tour dates can be found on their Facebook page.
