Trinidad Jame$ Raps About The Problems With Police On “Mr. Officer”

Trinidad Jame$ has released a new single every week since the news broke that he was no longer a part of the Def Jam family, and this week has proven no different.

Rapping about the recent events in Ferguson, as well as his own experiences, Jame$ uses “Mr. Officer” to talk about the interactions people have with members of law enforcement across the country. That may lead you to believe this is a song fueled by rage, but in truth it’s the furthest thing from a hard-hitting rant against police. The track is honestly pretty laid back, with a chorus of children helping guide the chorus, but every time the verses kick in there is Jame$’ signature brand of real talk. You can stream the song, in full, below:

At the very end of the track, Trinidad challenges listeners to better themselves by learning to care more about others:

I feel like we are all fighting to stay alive. Not just from the Police but just from each other. In my opinion kids see more of US killing US than the police killing US. So I CHALLENGE YOU AMERICA! EVEN THE WORLD! to value each other…..US.

Trinidad Jame$ will release his new album, 5PC Mild, for free later this month. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
