Netlix And Adam Sandler Are Working On Not One, But Four New Films

Either Hell has frozen over or the executive team at Netflix does not realize Adam Sandler continued making films after Click, but whatever the case, a groundbreaking deal has just been made that will allow Sandler to make four new films for the popular streaming service.

Announced today, Netflix has entered into an agreement with Adam Sandler to have the comedy icon star in and produce four new films that will be distributed exclusively through the streaming platform. None of the projects have been revealed at this time, but it’s likely the first will not premiere until the last half of 2015 (at the earliest).

“People love Adam’s films on Netflix and often watch them again and again,” says Netflix’s Ted Sarandos. “His appeal spans across viewers of all ages — everybody has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite line — not just in the US but all over the world.”

Sandler’s reaction to the news was similar to that of Netflix, only delivered in a way only Adam could pull off. “When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only… Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks,” he said. “Let the streaming begin!”

We will continue to follow this story and bring you updates on the currently untitled projects as soon as more information is revealed. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
