PHOX “Shake It Off” With Smooth Taylor Swift Cover

First off, if you’ve been sleeping on PHOX and their debut self-titled release, wake up and get into it. Secondly, if you need any kind of introduction, I suppose a killer Taylor Swift cover could suffice.

The Wisconsin-based six-piece recently took to Dutch radio at GIEL! to perform a stripped-down, jazzy and somewhat sultry take on TSwift’s lead 1989 single, “Shake It Off.” Monica Martin’s vocals constantly wow me and the entire band come together with an impressive poise and cohesive bond to tackle one of the biggest songs of the year. They were even courteous enough to omit the part that no one likes.
