Torche Stream New Record, ‘Restarter’

One of the first metal albums of the year that we’re really excited for comes out next week, and that is the new full-length from Torche, entitled Restarter. It will be the follow-up to their 2012 effort, Harmonicraft.

Conveniently named, the album takes a step back to the days of the self-titled album and In Return EP, and gives us the heaviest/funkiest album to date. Sure, it’s still that stoner-metal that we’ve come to expect, but the lows are lower and the riffs are sludgier than they were before. It’s like driving through mud.

Well, the band has put the album out for our listening pleasure, a week before the release date, and premiered it at Noisey. Check the stream out below, and if you don’t get too punished by riffage, let us know what you think in the comments.

Restarter will be released February 24 via Relapse.
