Warped Tour Announces Comedy Tent

It seems that Kevin Lyman is trying to appeal to a new audience by adding some comedians to this year’s Vans Warped Tour lineup. The festival released a video shot by Grant Cotter announcing that he, and handful of other comedians, will be heading out on the tour this summer. You can read Cotter’s announcement video below.

I have seen a number of naysayers and the like express some outrage at the idea of a music festival hosting a comedy tent, but the news has also been well-received amongst many others. I personally think it’s a great way to give fans a place to hang out when they need to get out of the sun or are waiting for the next band they want to see hit the stage. Either way, it will be interesting to see how the comedians will be received once the tour actually kicks off.

Grant Cotter and Eli Olsberg will be hosting the tent for the entire tour, and below you can find the list of the remaining comedians and the dates they will make their appearance.
