There are a lot of bands who are known for their outlandish onstage looks like KISS, Slipknot, Gwar and Swedish metal band Ghost (AKA Ghost B.C.). Bands like this rarely perform without said attire and makeup but Ghost decided to do things a little different for a recent three song in-studio set.
If you’ve ever seen Ghost live, you’ll know five out of their six members are adorned in hooded robes, while their lead singer, Papa Emeritus II, is full skull makeup and dressed like a Roman Catholic Cardinal. The five still sported the robes while Papa ditched the face paint and religious attire for a suit and itty bitty moustache.
You can watch Ghost perform “Ritual,” “Year Zero” and “If You Have Ghosts” below.

Brian, I suspect this is the start of the ‘Absence of God’ phase of the band, which means this may be how Emeritus will look for the coming album cycle.
