Split Single, a supergroup of sorts whose name contributes to a number of confusingly titled headlines, was announced back in mid-2012. Now, the trio finally has a debut album, Fragmented World, slated for release on April 1.
The group is fronted by Jason Narducy, formerly of Verboten and now of Bob Mould’s band. He’s backed by two men who are quite accomplished themselves: Britt Daniel of Spoon and Divine Fits, and Jon Wurster of The Mountain Goats, Superchunk, and various notable comedy things.
The announcement is accompanied by a brief album trailer, which you can see below with the tracklist. The trailer actually describes Split Single as “solo project of Jason Narducy… with Britt Daniel on bass and Jon Wurster on drums,” which renders blurbs that name the latter two long before Narducy a tiny bit misleading.
The band has released a number of songs already, all of which made it onto the album: “Waiting for the Sun,” “Monolith,” and “Last Goodbye.” “Fragmented World” was also available, but it seems to have been taken down sometime in the last year.
Fragmented World tracklist:
1. Waiting for the Sun
2. Monolith
3. Last Goodbye
4. Searches
5. Fragmented World
6. Made For Breaking
7. Love Is You
8. Never Look Back
9. My Eyes
10. My Heart Is Your Shadow
