Conor Oberst‘s new solo album, Upside Down Mountain, is officially out today, and the Bright Eyes and Desaparecidos frontman celebrated the release last night with a performance on The Tonight Show. Oberst, with California’s Dawes as his backing band, played the album’s second track, “Zigzagging Toward the Light,” and you can check out a video after the break.
This isn’t the first time Oberst and Dawes have teamed up this year. They released a split seven-inch in April for Record Store Day, on which Oberst covered Dawes’ “Million Dollar Bill” and Dawes took on the Bright Eyes tune “Easy/Lucky/Free.”
The two artists will also be going on tour together this summer. Get tickets to the shows right here, and order a copy of Upside Down Mountain now from Nonesuch Records.
