You don’t need to be a movie buff to know about the 1970s horror movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It’s a staple in the genre, and one that still scares the pants off kids everywhere.
News broke earlier this evening that one of the stars of the 1974 film, Marilyn Burns, passed away today at the age of 65. Her most notable role was playing Sally Hardesty in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but she also had major roles in Eaten Alive and Helter Skelter.
According to TMZ, Burns was found unresponsive in her Houston home. The cause of death has not been revealed yet, but we expect to hear more on what happened in the near future.
We wish her family and friends condolences on their loss.
