Nakel Smith, a professional skateboarder from Los Angeles, and the Odd Future crew aren’t strangers. When Tyler, the Creator’s album Wolf dropped, track 15, “Trashwang,” is where many first both heard and heard of the 20-year-old.
It follows logically that Smith and Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt have teamed up together under the name Hog Slaughta Boyz to release a collaboration track, with no promise of anything further. It also follows — knowing the type of things Odd Future are into — that the track comes off as both a joke and a mockery of trap rap. The song, dropped via an Earl tweet, is called “silenceDArapgame.”
